Since January of 2022, I have been working as a News Editor for a station in Fort Wayne.  I was hired as the Weekend Editor, but have since moved up to become the Weekday Editor.

My typical day at work is as follows:
- I arrive at work and read the rundown provided by the Producer.  Following the rundown, I locate all files that I will be needing and download them to my computer for editing.
- I spend two to three hours editing all the files according to the specifications in their scripts, and I upload them to the station's servers for broadcasting.
- Once they are uploading, I start setting up the studio for the broadcast.  I check the batteries for the microphones, make sure the cameras are set up, and prepare the prompter.
- During the show, I act as both the Floor Director and Camera Operator, and assist with running the prompter.
- Once the show has ended, I reset the studio and make sure everything is off.  Then, I return to my computer and save the local stories to our station's archives, and I finish my shift.

While working as the Weekday Editor, I have become familiar with using Edius to edit video, as well as following a rundown to set up camera shots during a live broadcast.  I have also become familiar with directing and cueing Anchors and Reporters while running the cameras.
